Privacy Policy

A.      Personal Data Protection

Trusted Objects collects users’ personal data for the following purposes:

  • Fulfilling orders
  • Delivering orders
  • Technical or commercial notifications (security, updates, license expiration, etc.)
  • Possibly sending direct promotional messages from Trusted Objects

Personal data will not be transferred, sold, or rented to third parties.
However, it may be shared in the following cases:

  • With the shipping provider, for the information strictly necessary for delivery
  • With the payment provider (bank or PayPal), for the information strictly necessary for payment processing

The customer consents to the processing of their personal data:

  • When creating an account, to access Trusted Objects websites, track orders, access support, access downloads, etc.
  • When placing an order, to enable the purchase and delivery of products
  • When subscribing to the newsletter

Mandatory nature of data collection:

  • Creating an account is not mandatory but is required to track orders, access the support or download site.
  • Providing the necessary information for purchases (identity, address, banking information, etc.) is mandatory to proceed with the purchase.
  • Subscribing to the newsletter is optional.

The customer may refuse to provide personal data. However, if the data is required, they will forgo the associated service (purchase, delivery, etc.).

The customer may file a complaint with the CNIL (French data protection authority).

The customer may access, correct, or delete their personal data at any time using the appropriate interface or by contacting Trusted Objects.

User data will be retained for a maximum of:

  • 3 years after the last contact, for inactive accounts
  • 5 years after the end of the business relationship, for active customers
  • 3 years for prospects who have not made a purchase
  • 10 years for accounting and invoicing data
  • 13 months for cookies

Customers can create an account on the Trusted Objects website and log in at any time to view the history and status of their orders.

Online transactions are secured using TLS (Transport Layer Security).

Payments are processed in real-time through payment platforms provided by banking institutions (LCL) or PayPal.

Trusted Objects does not store your banking details, which are processed directly by the payment provider (bank or PayPal).

Orders are reviewed by a Trusted Objects employee. To prevent fraud, suspicious orders may be canceled.

Customers can unsubscribe at any time from the newsletter and other promotional messages.

Any personal data provided to Trusted Objects will be protected in accordance with applicable regulations, including the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) 2016/679.

Any regulatory request made by a customer located in the European Economic Area regarding the collection and processing of personal data will be handled by Trusted Objects within reasonable effort.

The customer agrees to make reasonable efforts to cooperate with Trusted Objects in responding to any regulatory request regarding personal data processing within the EEA.

The customer understands and agrees to comply with all applicable laws related to the collection, use, and processing of personal data, including but not limited to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and any other laws or regulations governing privacy and data protection practices.

The customer understands and agrees that they are solely responsible for their own data privacy practices and must indemnify, defend, and hold Trusted Objects harmless for:

  • Failure to provide legally required notices regarding their data privacy practices
  • The collection, use, or disclosure of data as required or contemplated under this agreement
  • Data security or data use issues if Trusted Objects is acting under the customer’s explicit instructions

B.      Use of Cookies

Trusted Objects only uses essential cookies, which are strictly necessary to provide users access to its websites and services.

These cookies are required to enable core site features, such as enabling a shopping cart.

These essential cookies cannot be disabled and are not subject to consent.

Trusted Objects does not use advertising, performance, or analytics cookies that would require consent.

Trusted Objects does not use cookies placed by third parties.

If any non-essential cookies were to be used in the future, a cookie banner would be displayed on Trusted Objects’ websites and consent would be requested.
